Shortly after we got Lori's new car for her, the decision on what to do with the mustang was made. We also still had her Mini which was still being paid off, and it didn't make sense to have yet another car insured.
So I started taking the Mustang apart, and selling off everything. Once it got down to a mostly bare shell, the car sat on my back porch for about a year. We finally decided enough was enough and starting cutting it apart for scrap.

1. Prior to cutting, but after a majority of the disassembly. |
|

2. Half the front area gone. |

3. The section I first cut off. |
|

4. Area ahead of firewall removed. |

5. You can't tell just yet, but the insides are much better ventiated now. |
|

6. Extreme targa?. |

7. Roof gone. |
|

8. I will be using the metal from this for the wheel flares on the MG. |

9. One sail panel gone. |
|

10. It looks better as a roadster. |

11. Some odd repair from the accident damage the car so obviously had. |
|

12. Yet more evidence of Fezzing. |

13. More cracks in metal that should not have been there. |
|

14. Rear Roadster View. |

15. This was a hard part to cut off. There were lots of layers to the metal. |
|

16. At this point the rear end technically could still be bolted back on. |

17. Look carefully, and you will see a cut line across the firewall. |
|

18. Glass lifted off. |

19. One step closer to being gone. |
|

20. Rcoker panel removed. |

21. This it the pile that remains. Some guys who came to pick up some parts last weekend kindly took a lot of the scrap pile away with them. |
Almost gone. Now I just need to figure out how to tell the DMV that there is no Mustang so they stop sending me non-op reminders.
