This is an MG Midget that someone started to put a S10 4 cylinder and trasmission into. It was an auctio car, and here is what they had to say:

I am offering for auction my newest project that I've lost my nerve for. It is a 1965 MG Midget that has been converted to Chevy S-10 4 cyl. and 5 speed trans. The previous owner (po) did the mech. work so far and it is well executed and deserves to be finished. The po before him did most of the body work and it is very sturdy with all metal repairs and decent welding but will need quite a bit of filler to finish. The body work and rust repair is not totally comlete. As a finished project this car is going to end up more hot rod than restored little british car. It has features started that probably make it not practical to return to stock. I will try to describe the condition and intended plan of the po. Pls ask questions if you are interested. I may be able to help with shipping if in central Ohio. When I got the car the exterior was in bare metal. I inventoried things, wiped it down with thinner and primed the bare metal. The lst picture shows it on the trailer in it's current condition. Whats included MG wise, 65 Mg Midget body with all trim holes filled, decent windshield, good doors with good glass, hood that needs rust repair on front edge, trunk lid with holes filled, front fenders witrh trim holes filled, decent looking wire wheels with new tires, 2 bare spare wire wheels, complete front and rear supsenions and steering with org. steering wheel, most lighting parts in poor condition, bumpers in decent condition, org. drive shaft, interior panels in poor condition, 2 boxes of odds & ends & hardware mostly in poor condition, org. grille in good condition, org. radiatior in good condition, front shroud in poor condition, tonneau cover needing minor repair. Brake system looks stock and complete. Top frame looks to be in good shape. Gas tank is in good conditionCar has a title. Whats missing MG wise org. engine and transmission, seats, dash and instruments(might be located later), org. exhaust system, little british car attitiude. Chevy S-10 Stuff The po had a S-10 with 107K miles that ran well but was in an accident and that made the trans plant engine available. It is installed into a very heavy duty H type cross memeber that has been welded into heavily reinforced sills. This carries the rear of the trans. The bottom of the normally closed tunnel is open and that has been reinforced. The front engine mounts are very tidy and carry the engine low in the frame rails, but all components look to be accessible. The front of the engine is behind the front axles. I guess that would give it good weight distribution, but it also means the engine takes the space of the heater and battery location. The firewall has been repalced in a tidy way and the whole traans tunnel is a fabb'ed affair that looks like good work and the 5 speed shift lever has been shortened. The MG hole and shift boot are grated into the new tunnel. Included are the Chevy computer and complete wireing harness and speedometer and snstrument cluster. The engine looks very complete and as though it has been maintained, looks clean inside the valve cover. It is a throttle body type fuel injection. Ther looks to be 2 sets of hyd. clutch linkage parts and some pipeing started. The exhaust manifold modifications are complete and tied into a downpipe aimed in the right direction and ready to hook up. Custom body ideas. no side trim no trunk lid handle, electric device is started rear lincense plate area is boxed in and lower rear valance is rolled under giving the look of a 50's lead sled type treatment the hood will have to be modified to clear the engine, in my mind the shape of the MGC hood scaled to a midget would be a fit front part of the floors are missing the rear parts and the rear bulkhead are new the door fit is good on 1 side and not so good on the other, both open and close OK trunk floor and 1 rail needs rust repair, problable all contained in an area about 6 by 8 inches (I may have those parts avalable in a donor body behind the shop, if you are local to central Ohio) There will need to be additional structural welding done under the car to tie the new center cross memeber into the org rails This is offered as Pick-up encouraged but I will be happy to help your shipper if need be.

1. Wire wheels.

2. Some surface rust but looks pretty solid.

3. Rear with what looks like a sunken license area.

4. Looks like a windo motor, maybe for power lifting boot lid.

5. Modified trannu tunnel for the S10 5 speed.

6. The engine itself fits fairly well.

7. Exhaust with O2 sensor.

8. Handbrake.

9. He had to cut out the heater plenum to fit the engine.

10. Stock radiator and suspension.

11. Leftovers.

12. All together.

Look interesting, but needs work.
