This is a 78 Midget that has been through a lot of modification. This is the guy's description:

This is a 1978 MG Midget that originally belonged to my mother. In 1980 my mother was in a fender-bender that dented the rear quarter panel...this was fixed at that time. when i went to UGA she gave it to me, and i drove it until it was vandalized after the Rodney King verdict-In Athens Georgia. I stored it for a few years, then in 1995 i decided to restore it. I had the engine rebuilt by Neil's customs in Decatur, Ga., i changed the color from the original yellow to a light blue, and i designed a Birch wood interior. i drove the car about 30 miles until 2004 when i decided i wanted the car to be red with a 1962 MG midget look, and that is what you see here now. the carpet is new. the exhaust is a 4 tip MONZA. This is not necessarily a show car, but it is a beautiful driver. other mods include a larger radiator, dual carborators, electric cooling fan, etc. the miles are correct at just over 40,000.

1. Nice looking front. He eliminated the rubber bumper, installed a Mk1 Grille and hood spine, but left off the in grille opening surrounds.

2. Note the painted wheels, and quad tipped exhaust.

3. Wood door panels, and glove box door.

4. Another rear shot. He used Mk1 style tail lights as well.

5. Clean engine compartment. He swapped in the UK spec dual carbs and manifold.

6. I like how he did the glove box door.

7. He removed the side chrome strip.

8. The other side.

9. Looks like the trunk got finished in wood too.

10. I like the use of an old trunk badge on this panel.

11. It tucks under the top.

12. Again, clean engine compartment. No mechanical fan on the engine.

13. Another shot of the rear.

14. Usually I don't like wood paneled doors, but this is ok. He also took the vinyl off the door cap, and painted it to match the body.

15. More wood here.

16. Nice steering wheel.

17. One of the only blemishes.

18. More interior.

19. The grille looks ok blacked out, but I like it chrome.

20. He didn't change the springs. Since he took 45 lbs off the front end with the rubber bumper, it sits a little higher.

21. Another small blemish.

22. Vin plate in the door.

23. Top boot looks in good condition.

24. Another rear shot.

25. Looks good. No real rust and it's not beaten up.

26. Clean here too. Car has undercoat.

27. Rear axle.

A pretty clean modification.
