Here's another mini update.

The next thing I had to do was make up a tranny mount.


1. My dad who is great at this stuff, did the measuring beforehand. All I had to do was mark and drill the holes
  
2. Here are the holes all drilled up.

3. I cut an access on the other side. I will eventually box in the open ends of the tubes.
  
4. Here's the tranny mount sitton on what will become the crossmember.

5. Crossmember bolted to mount, mount bolted to transmission.
  
6. Some tabs form the body side of the mounts. Here they are tacked in.

I skipped the part where I drilled the side holes to mount the crossmember. I also skipped the part where I cut the tabs to fit. I made some good progress.

Everything is just tacked in right now. I forgot my welding helmet at home, and was just using some welding glasses that were not dark enough, so I will weld everything up next time.
