The rear-end that almost was.
Late model Ford Thunderbird, Lincoln LS, and Jaguar S-Types all share a common rear end. It is really cool, but just wouldn't work for me. It was too hard to narrow as much as I needed, and the wheel bolt pattern was wrong. It was 5 on 108mm, when I wanted 5 on 4.75 inches.

1. The arms are angled, so they could be moved in without changing the geometry much. |

2. Disc brakes, sway bar, cool aluminum arms. |

3. Has ABS too, but I wouldn't use that. |

4. You can see the ABS pickup in the middle. |

5. Single piston calipers. |

6. I was measuring it for width. |

7. E brake cables are rubber mounted. |

The pictures got kind of out of order. It would have been a great rear end if the bolt pattern were different, it were easier to narrow, and the rear end was upgradable at all.
