Today I did some more bushing work on the corvette suspension pieces, and mocked up one side.

Getting close. I'm excited.

1. Here's a completely rebuilt upper arm that I did last week.

2. The other side that I haven't started on yet.

3. Here's an original bushing.

4. You can rip the edges off making it easier to press out.

5. I used my press, and some tubing as a spacer to remove the bushings.

6. Here they are, popped out.

7. It took a shot of PB Blaster, and an impact wrench to get the nuts off the cross shaft.

8. One side of the control arm has a bigger hole, and a smaller washer. You press them out in that direction.

9. Getting ready to press it out.

10. And here it is all the way out.

11. I'm starting to learn that you need to buy good tools.

12. Now on to set up. Level the frame side to side.

13. Here is one of my mockup wheels.

14. One whole side attached. Doesn't it look cool?

15. From the top.

16. With the coilover just sitting in there.

17. We determined how much the brackets needed to be cut, and did the rough cut with a torch.

18. Then finished with a grinder so they all matched.

19. Here's about where they will mount. The pipe is cut and the holes drilled at the coilover's ride height.

20. You determine ride height by leveling across the machines surface on the lower control arm.

We managed to bugger up a ball joint, so I need a new one of those before we can finish up the front.

So close. I've been saying that for what feels like forever, but now I can taste it.
