Here are pics and descriptions of when I replaced the rear springs in my Midget.
This first shots show how the driver's side sagged quite a bit.

1. It sags a bit to the driver side. You can see my classically rusty camaro to the right. |
|

2. Another saggy shot. |
These next shots are of the setup.

1. A good side shot showing the axle, spring, and limiting straps. |
|

2. I would normally put the jackstand under the spring, or at the spring mounting plates. Can't do that, so I'll just spread the load a little. |

3. Other side sans limiting straps. |
These next shots show just how bad the existing limiting straps truly were, and some other stuff.

1. Here is the rotten and falling apart limiting strap in position. |
|

2. Old and new straps, old and new bump stops. |

3. back floor where some spring mounting bolts are hidden. |
|

4. New and old springs lying together. Note the difference. |

5. U-bolts, hardware and stuff sitting on the floor. Look at the dirt that came out of the mounting points. |
|

6. Old and new rubber bushings... Jesus! |

7. Old and new springs and things again. |
Aaaand finally the more level and happy midget.
I wish I had more detailed photos, but this gives you the idea.
