Progress made this weekend with the sheet metal work on the MG.
The interior is coming along.

1. I finished off the two front corners of the parcel tray. |
|

2. Bent and slightly sloppy beadrolled. This is the battery box back and sides. |

3. Battery box back and sides welded in. |
|

4. I tacked this diagonal piece in place to show where the leading edge of the area behind the seats would be. |

5. I started on the cubby on the driver side, ising 1/8 angle like I did for the battery box. |
|

6. Making the sides and back of the storage cubby. |

7. Bead rolls marked out. |
|

8. Set in place. I wish the bead rolling didn't make it so wavy. |

9. Showing I have a sense of humor. This was a suggestion from my friend Jon. |
|

10. Extension added that comes out to meet the piece behind the seats. |

11. Quick shot of the rear frame rails from the blue car, and showing where I got the metal for the things in the next few pics. |
|

12. This is the piece I cut from what was behind the rear seats in the blue car. |

13. The edge gets bent over for strength, and a bit overlaps in the middle. |
|

14. Both sides welded in place. |

15. Finally, the center cover set in place. The black dots are possibly to mark the place for holes to plug weld. |
A lot of progress this weekend.
I ran out of my Lincoln .025 L56 today and switched over to some harbor freight .023 wire. I think I will switch back, bucause it is harder to weld with.
