I found some time this weekend to finish mounting my seats.
You can't just bolt a seat to the floor, the sheet metal is too thin. You need to reinforce the area.

1. I finished lowering the pedal box by about an inch. |

2. These pictures are prior to the final welding. |

3. This is the driver seat. |

4. Before I mounted the seats I decided to patch the hole left by the old spring mounts. |

5. It still needs to be cleaned up a bit. |

6. The line down the middle shows where the reinforcement was welded to the floor. |

7. The welds were messy, but I'm not that great welding upside down. I will clean them up when I do finish welding. |

8. This is the inner piece for the inside seat mount. |

9. I am using these pieces of angle iron as the feet for the seat. |

10. This is right about where the outside front mount will be. |

11. Location of the inner mount. |

12. Front mounts on the seat. |

13. I added this cross piece for strength. |

14. Inner side with reinforcement. |

15. Rear outside mount. |

16. Front bolted into place. |

17. Nuts show where each mounting place is. |

18. Driver seat in its final position. |

19. Passenger side with mount holes drilled and reinforcements attached. |

20. Front mounts on the passenger seat. |
I think next I will move on to mounting the master cylinders.
