To help get around the steering problem, I bought a top mount turbo manifold off of ebay.

Naturally something has to come off before something else can replace it.

1. Here's the manifold. It's for a t3/t4 turbo with an external wastegate.

2. It's made from stainless steel, and I plan on getting it ceramic coated.

3. Here's the turbo side of the engine with everything on it.

4. With outlet tubing/hot pipe out of the way.

5. I had to remove the outlet housing to get the heat shield off.

6. Heatshield removed. Now I can get to the bolts.

7. Something weird and broken made out of plastic and covered in oil inside the turbo outlet housing.

8. Another shot.

9. Turbo manifold with all the fasteners removed.

10. The manifold removed.

11. I'm going to stuff rags in there to keep the nasties out.

12. Here's all the stuff that came off tonight.

13. The backside of the turbo. The top angled lines are for coolant, and the lower two are for oil.

14. Here's the manifold lightly put in place.

15. From the top.

16. None of it is lower than the level of the top right fitting from the previous picture.

Next thing I do is put the air conditioning back on, and see how hard it will be to change the side the alternator is on.
