This is the result of work strung over two weekends, but with a couple weeks in between.

We put in the rear frame rails, minus the central connector, mounting the rear subframe to the car, and some of the rear suspension.

1. Here the two rails are. My dad took the template we made, and made these up at work.

2. Here's where it will go. There is still some grinding, and some of the seams need to be re-welded still.

3. Here is one side sat in.

4. Another angle of the rail set in place.

5. The rotisserie is great. We were able to lock the car "sideways" for better access to weld.

6. Before welding the seams back up.

7. The whole picture.

8. Here's how we lock the car in place. The rear bumper tow hooks worked out great.

9. You can see the new rail at the top of the picture.

10. Here's one side almost done being welded in.

11. And the other side almost done.

12. This shot is upside down. THat diagonal gusset will be trimmed more when we are done.

13. It doesn't really intrude too badly into the trunk.

14. Here are all four polyurethane mounts, and their brackets tack welded in place.

15. I ended up using Energy Suspension #9.4101 isolation bushings. These are the stronger of the two universal isolators they have available.

16. The smaller washers are on the bottom right now because I need to grind the edge of the big ones so they don't bump the edge of the angle we used for brackets.

17. Here my dad is welding in the brackets on one side. I will do some of the less mission critical welding, but he does the stuff that has to be solid for safety.

18. Here both brackets are welded in solidly.

19. A view from the top.

20. And again from the rear.

21. We put the diff back into the subframe, and bolted it into the car.

22. A view along the bottom of the car.

23. One of the control arms bolted in.

24. There won't be this much travel when it's done obviously.

25. From the side.

26. A view from the back. It looks odd, but that's just because I didn't have the camera level.

27. Here's the MIG we've been using It's a Lincoln 100. We finally got around to putting it on the welding cart this weekend.

Next up will be putting the last touches on the subframe, and then the shock mounts on the front. I still need to get some temporary mockup wheels.
