There needs to be a bit more clearance around the rear subframe, and the heather pan needs to be removed.

Here we go, I've also included what the comparatively narrowed jag components look like.

1. Here are the half shafts. The long ones are the originals.

2. Here are some stock lower control arms next to the narrowed pieces. Rick's Machine Shop in Lakeside, Ca did a good job on the arms.

3. The next victim. I am relocating the heater and battery in order to make room for the engine.

4. The front before I make the heater cut.

5. Because there is an enclosed section, I had to make cuts on both sides. The car is upside down right now.

6. Topside of the heater cut.

7. Whole front with heater panel/battery tray removed.

8. There needs to be a little more clearance between the rear end, and the trunk floor.

9. The strong outer rail stays, but the inner bit is getting taken out to put in the frame.

10. The other side.

11. Again, enclosed sections, so cuts on both sides.

12. Inner rail out.

13. From the back, shows clearance for the 2 inch rear rails to come.

14. Closeup of clearance.

15. And the other side. The square bit under the main rail has to come out too.

16. The square bit from the outside, and a good view through the wheel wells.

17. The square bit, removed, along with part of the gusset.

18. And, the other side.

19. It looks much cleaner without he square section.

20. A view from the front with it all cleaned out.

21. Through the wheel well opening. Nice and open.

22. Here is a template mocked into place of what the rear rails will look like.

23. Here is the template all cut out and ready to work from.

My dad is going to take that template to work with him, and weld up the rear rails to be identical. We are going to have a 1x2 tube run between the rear sections, and it will also serve as something to tide the trunk floor to for strength.
