I worked more on clearancing the front wheel wells and started on the front flares.
The front flares will be more tricky because I have to cut them along the line where the removable front fender separates from the body of the car.

1. Prior to cutting. You can see there will be clearance issues. |
|

2. Same on this side. Almost no turn in is currently possible. |

3. Combination of plasma cutter, air saw, and grinder brought us to this point. |
|

4. The tire just barely clears on the vertical bit, but still hits inside the wheel well. |

5. Here is the additional cut needed for enough clearance when turning in. |
|

6. More clearance on the side, but you can see there is still some needed in the front. |

7. Now it is all the way in. A little over 1/2 inch clearance on the vertical and about 1/4 inch on the horizontal. |
|

8. From the front with wheels turned all the way to the left. |

9. Initial clearance on the side but none in front. |
|

10. More clearance but the tire still touches. |

11. All the way in. I may still need to clearance a little in the front. |
|

12. It must have been a bit dusty from grinding. From front turned all the way to the right. |

13. Front flare mocked up with tape. |
|

14. Now tacked in place. It is the same general dimensions used on the rear flares. |

15. From the top showing complete wheel coverage. |
|

16. From the back showing where the cut line will have to be. |
I need to duplicate this work on the driver's side now. After that I have to modify the pedal box, and set up my steering since all my u-joints have arrived.
