These are a bunch of pics from 2001 when I first got the car..

Not much to say, so I'll just dive in.

1. First trying to get the car running. You can see the battery charger going to it.

2. Engine compartment as it was when I first got it. With the carb removed though.

3. Here's the carb. It needed a rebuild.

4. You can see the piston inside the bore. It is a CD style sidedraft carb.

5. Cleaned up, rebuilt, and back on the car.

6. Here I am, around 300 lbs, 6'2", and standing next to a tiny car.

7. Running for the first time in years. Not running well though.

8. Creative plug inside the water temp port.

9. Gets good mileage .

10. Needs to with this gas tank.

11. Check out that plush interior.

12. The dash is in pretty sad shape, and I'm missing some gauges.

13. Hmm, that bypass tube looks to be in pretty poor shape.

14. Teeny little bypass hole, bigger badly rusted tube.

15. The entire thermostat elbow was in pretty poor shape.

16. Here's the water pump housing off the car. again, you can see the rusted bypass tube.

17. What the engine looks like without the water pump housing.

18. A slightly different angle.

19. The gas tank out of the car. It ended up having a good amount of rust inside.

20. With the air injector rail back on.

21. the 70's were not kind. THere is a maze of hoses and wires in there.

22. Still, the later years had a second charcoal canister, and more emissions junk.

23. Lots of new rubber under there.

24. I still needed to get an air cleaner assembly at this point.

25. You can see the new ($250) EGR valve in this pic.

26. New radiator hoses, and medusa got a few more snakes.

27. Newly rebuilt carb and intake off. Note the fresh white plastic on the linkage.

28. Another view.

29. Home made battery hold down.

30. Using two pieces of all thread, a piece of angle iron, some nuts and washers.

31. The angle iron was ground down to avoid the terminals.

32. My dad measuring for the GM alternator. Note the Weber, and aluminum valve cover.

33. Aww, isn't it cute?

34. After a quick spray down, it shined nicely.

35. Here it is sitting in the garage of the rental house we were in after ours burned down.

36. Now from the front.

37. My little car next to a friend's escalade.

38. Showing how small it is.

39. Showing the radiator, and shroud.

40. Freshly rebuilt brakes.

Lots of misc pics.
