I had some fun mounting the manifolds, and transfering some hardware.

This was so I could design my firewall and passenger footwell panels.

1. This is my greddy knockoff manifold.

2. This is my stock manifold.

3. Here they are next to each other. the new manifold is considerably smaller than the old one.

4. Old manifold stripped of injectors.

5. New manifold with injector bungs in.

6. Old rail in place on new manifold. At this point it is not sitting flush and level.

7. And here is why. This and another tab are in the way.

8. I will have some cleaning up to do inside the manifold.

9. Now with fuel rail sitting as it should.

10. One tab I cut off.

11. And the other. This tab ends up not being used at all.

12. Manifold mounted to engine.

13. Original cut was to fit original manifold, and even more would have to be cut now.

14. Exhaust header/manifold in place..

15. This is a T3 from a Volvo. It will need to be clocked and modified a little.

16. Oil drain pipe off. Mounted to my engine, this sits paralell to the ground.

17. My turbo with the internal wastegate removed.

18. Both sides set in place. You can see the turbo is just mocked into place.

19. Turbo set in place and held with a bungee cord.

20. Another angle.

21. The exhaust will have to run here between the passenger compartment and the transmission

The manifolds were put into place in order to see where the firewall and passenger foot wells can go.

More cutting and welding soon.
