I started putting together the exhaust system starting at the turbo. I made the whole down pipe from a 2.5 inch u bend.

I'll be putting together my own muffler later on.

1. This is the first piece attached to the turbo flange.

2. I cut and taped the second piece on to figure out where next to cut.

3. Cut so it aims straignt down.

4. Because it was a u bend, when put back together it can aim the same direction it started from.

5. Wastegate with the mounting diagram.

6. I decided to switch from the Tial knockoff to a Turbosmart Ultragete 38mm.

7. Turbosmart wastegates are made in Australia, and they do a good job packing them.

8. The Ultragate is the smallest 38mm wastegate from a reputable company that mounts with the standard 38mm flange.

9. You can see how much shorter it is than a Tial (knockoff).

10. It is a little smaller around at the case split as well.

11. The smaller wastegate makes more clearance for the steering.

12. Here is the flexible wastegate dump tube plumbed back into the downpipe.

13. Around this time, I ran out of CO2, and switched to an Argon CO2 mix.

14. Here is the downpipe. There will be some more modification at the bottom .

15. Here is the downpipe with the v-band clamp attached.

16. You can kind of see it in place poking through the unfinished tirewall.

I may move the v band down a couple of more inches when I trim the bottom part.

I'll be shortening it to tuck the exuahst up nice and close to the floor.
