The ongoing saga of getting the motor and transmission mounts done so other work can proceed.
Hopefully I won't have to mess with mounts again after this.

1. First I whacked the old mounts off with my plasma cutter. |
|

2. Then cleaned up the frame. |

3. And stuck the motor back in. |
|

4. The transmission mount went back in with some persuasion. |

5. I made carcboard templates, cut the tubes to length and angle, and they fit first try. |
|

6. Here they are all welded up. My welds were more ugly this time. |

7. The tranny mounts were revised a little. |
|

8. Passenger side mount in. |

9. Driver side mount in |
|

10. I rolled the car out to get an idea on how it looked, and to clean the floor it had been squatting on for months. |

11. The car sits a bit too low. I need to either adjust the coilovers, or get stiffer springs. |
|

12. The motor is finally in sitting on its own mounts. |

13. The pan is REALLY low, so I figured I would adust the coilovers. |
|

14. A shot of how everything is offset to the passenger side a bit. |

15. Three turns per side garners a bit of height. |
|

16. The pan is a tad higher now. I also have an aluminum pan that gives a bit more clearance, and it stronger. |
I have finally got the mounts done, and the car sitting on its suspension. There is quite a bit mroe weight to be added, but this is a good start.
