1. To start, I removed seats, all the junk from the trunk, and I think the dash. Here is the car up on jacks. |

2. Empty trunk with wrenches, and the tire hold down. You can see how much of my teeny trunk was taken up by the tire. |

3. Here is where the filler tube passes through the floor and connects to the tank. The filler tub is attached on either end by some hose clamps. |

4. And where it clamps to the filler neck. |

5. The cap outside. That rubber grommet has to come off, and it can be removed. |

6. Dark interior with no seats. You can see all the junk I had jammed under my passenger seat. |

7. More sunlit driver's side. All that crap on the carpet is from the burlap in the seat bottoms that is deteriorating. |

8. The parcel tray, with my registration and insurance card safely in a cd sleeve. |

9. Drivers side, side marker light. The previous owner filled the marker holes with bondo, but they were cracking when I got the car, so I just removed it and put back in the markers.. |

10. Just pointing out the rear battering ram mount. Kind or irritating how much trunk space I lose to them. |

11. Though it doesn't seem like much, it's a lot in a small trunk. |

12. Passenger side bumper reinforcement. You can see the fume return line hose, and the top of the gas tank. |

13. Here's the gas tank out of the car. I will probably end up selling it, but I may as well keep it for use as a template for now. |

14. The filler and vent hole as seen from below. |

15. Other side of the trunk floor. The part that is still nice and black is where the gas tank protected it. |

16. Another shot of where the tank once hung. |

17. One more. I really don't know why I took so many. |

18. A shot of the axle from behind. This will eventually come off. |

19. Driver's side rear suspension. |

20. Passenger side rear suspension. |

21. The front spring perch is actually bolted through the floor. |

22. Here is the empty front of the car. I started removing the wiring. |

23. Here is the kind of messy wiring on the drivers side of the engine bay. |

24. More messy wiring. |

25. Shows the end of the old bumper reinforcements which will also have to come out. |

26. Wiring above the passenger side footwell. |

27. Middle of the dash harness. |

28. Driver's side under dash area. |

29. Three bolts hold in the top frame on either side. |

30. They also secure the trim panels on either side. |

31. You can see the canvas garage keeping my project out of the elements. |

32. The car, well on its way to being stripped. |
