Here are pics and descriptions of when I stripped down a spare midget dash to recover.

These are some shots of the rest of the stripping process.

1. First I peeled off the nasty cracked cover, trying to take a lot of foam with it. |

2. This is the backside of the cover, with a lot of the foam attached. I imagine the foam might have been somewhat soft from new, but it was pretty hard and crumbly when I removed it. |

3. What the dash looks like with the foam that just wouldn't come with the cover. |

At this point it was just a matter of scraping the rest off. I ended up sanding it, and priming it to protect against the elements.
I may or not have pics of what it looks like after covering, but I will have to look.
