Second installment.

This covers replacing the clutch itself, painting the engine, sealing with undercoat to engine bay, changing the timing chain, and changing the valve cover.

1. Here you can plainly see the flywheel where the starter mounts.		2. This is the input shaft with the throwout bearing.
3. A better shot of the above, with the inside of the bell housing.		4. The whole tranny with a temporary plug on the top.
5. This is the whole old pressure plate. Notice how it's a little greasy.		6. On closer inspection, the middle clampy bits look a tad worn.

11. One more before it comes off.		12. Here is the clutch disc. Altogether not bad shape for the age and miles.
13. Old clutch disc and pressure plate.		14. Again, old discs and plate. Look how small it is in my hands.
15. The new disc and plate roughly in place, not tightened. I am using the alignment tool to make sure it fits right.		16. New timing set in place, old one in my hand. The old chain had stretch.
17. The engine bay cleaned up and sealed with under-coat. Actually truck bed liner, but who will tell?		18. Look how nice the inner fender looks freshly painted in sealer.
19. Battery tray area. Hopefully it defends against battery fumes a little.		20. Resealed frame rails.
21. All back in, here is where the shifter goes.		22. Engine back in and painted. I masked off the valve cover really well.
23. I replaced the plugs after this.		24. You can see the clean gasket area as well.
25. Distributor, wires, new oil filter, etc.		26. Starting to put it back together.

29. A rare shot of me driving. Even more rare because the fenders are still off.		30. Another rare shot, backing up for a test run down the hill and back.
31. I liked the aluminum valve cover, but had leaking problems.		32. So, I took it off.
33. And put the newly, and sexily I might add, original valve cover back on.
