Here are some shots of the bosch alternator conversion. It is a direct bolt on. You can add an additional wire to fortify the charging system if you like.
First off, we have what you started with.

1. What your engine bay may look like. Front and center on the bottom with the faded plastic is you original lucas alternator. |
|

2.Another shot. Again front and center is your old underpowered lucas alternator. |
A few shots of the final install. Since it's a bolt-off, bolt-on affair, just do the reverse of removal to install. It helps if the radiator is out to get the lower front mount bolts out of the way. You will need a different sized drive belt, a tad bigger.

1. From the front. you can see how it uses the original upper bracket. |
|

2. From top. It doesn't even really stick any farther over than the original. |

3. Another front. You can clearly see the bottom bolt. It's the original one again. |
|

4. A nice closeup of the bottom mount point. |
Lastly, the wiring.

1. That big thick, and too long blue wire is the additional wire you can add, if you think your wiring may not take 60 amps. |
|

2.A detail of the back. Shows, badly, where all the wires go. |

3. This is how I tied the blue wire into the battery. At the solenoid. |
That about covers it. Simple, quick, and easy.
