I decided to remove the questionable carpet, and crumbling custom panels. I found more badness.

1. Here's what the back looked like to start. Note the moss on the left..

2. Fluids in the driver side storage.

3. Some more stuff on the passenger side.

4. The top spare tire pivot is cracked and needs to be repaired.

5. Here's the bottom mount.

6. This is the latch. It's bent and cracked.

7. Another shot showing how bad it was.

8. Taken off. Look how rusty the pivot points are.

9. Here's the whole thing.

10. Here are the two mounts together.

11. Passenger side with storage removed.

12. Passenger side rear speaker taken out.

13. This is the deadening material the previous owner put in.

14. I guess I took two pictures of that.

15. Here is the back portion of the same thing.

16. The previous owner put in a piece of wood to even the difference from the front and back.

17. Here it is without any sound deadening.

18. These brackets look REALLY rusty.

19. Up close, you can tell just how rusty.

20. The underside of the bed rails, where the top mounts.

21. The underside looks rough. Here is where a bolt is located.

22. You need to take out the tail light to get to the spare tire bracket nuts.

23. It even looks rusty in here.

24. Looking down inside, it IS rusty.

25. Here's the driver's side with stuff removed.

26. Both sides removed.

27. From the back with the seat out..

28. Some junk on the floor. Note the moss again.

29. The rear seat.

30. The sound deadening under the carpet.

31. The rear floor. The center seems solid.

32. Some nastiness in the rear corner.

33. Front, passenger seat removed.

34. Driver's seat removed minus base.

35. The driver's side seat base.

36. Ring o' rust.

37. Just look at all of that interior room.

38. The seats are out. The carpet is next.

39. Carpet removed. More sound deadening.

40. Now that's a big nail.

41. This isn't rust. It's the factory padding. The rust is underneath.

42. Factory padding from the rear.

43. That's loose rust on the rear passenger footwell.

44. A closer shot.

45. Driver's side floor is nasty.

46. Passenger side floor is pretty nasty too.

47. That would be a hole...

48. The cover has rusted through there.

49. Better angle, maybe.

50. Tailgate is rusty too.

51. There are little holes in some spots.

52. Front without the factory padding.

53. The front with loose rust cleaned off.

54. This is where the loose rust was earlier.

55. Passenger side cleaned up a bit.

56. There are multiple holes.

57. With seats back in.

58. That's a pretty ragged hole. Good thing I have a donor vehicle.

59. And with the console back in.

60. From the side.
So, I guess I have a lot of work ahead of me.

I'm glad I have the 93 to use as a donor. I'm going to need floors at least, and part of the bed floor.
