Here is a quick outline of how to convert to manually locking hubs on a dana 44.

1. Here's what comes in a kit. This one is from Superwinch. |

2. This is the chrome end cap. |

3. This is what is just inside the cap. |

4. When you take out the main linking gear, this is the axle end. |

5. One hub side taken apart for assembly. |
|

6. Once the innards are put in, you tighten up the allen screws. |

7. This is what one side looks like complete. |

8. First thing when you start, you pry off the cover. |

9. Here is the innder gear installed. |
|

10. It is held in with a snap ring. |

11. Then you pop on the switch. |
|

12. And screw it in with an allen bit or allen wrench. |
That's pretty much all.
