Here is a quick outline of how to convert to manually locking hubs on a dana 44.

1. Here's what comes in a kit. This one is from Superwinch.		2. This is the chrome end cap.
3. This is what is just inside the cap.		4. When you take out the main linking gear, this is the axle end.
5. One hub side taken apart for assembly.		6. Once the innards are put in, you tighten up the allen screws.
7. This is what one side looks like complete.		8. First thing when you start, you pry off the cover.
9. Here is the innder gear installed.		10. It is held in with a snap ring.
11. Then you pop on the switch.		12. And screw it in with an allen bit or allen wrench.

Not too detailed, but it really is simple.
