I replaced the destroyed batery end with a bolt on end. This is for a 1993 ramcharger with the Magnum 5.9 engine. It's probably similar for a lot of years.

1. This is the negative cable end. If you think this is messed up, take a look at the positive. |
|

2. Yeah, this is about as messed up as it can be. It was making the charging system unreliable. |

3. The positive side is a rather involved harness. This is one spot you need to disconnect. |
|

4. And here is another connector. |

5. It goes down and into a plastic wire loom. |
|

6. This is one of the ground spots. |

7. This loom is part of the positive battery harness. |
|

8. It goes to something bolted to the block here. |

9. And is clipped down here. |
|

10. Here is the whole harness. |

11. And another shot. You can see there have been repairs before. |
|

12. The negative side is easy to replace. THe positive side is harder. |

13. So I cut off the end and put a clamp style on. |
What I didn't know at the time is that this is only a TEMPORARY fix. It will corrode, and corrode badly.
Get the real cable!
