I made and update to the Midget section. This past weekend, I made it out to the ranch, and put the floors into the seating compartment. Next time I intend to mock up the steering/seating arangement. That means putting most everything onto the engine, and seeing what clearance I have.
I should have a BMW update sometime soon, and maybe even a Dodge update if I get my butt in gear.

Hey, Great work on the MG. I am doing the same transplant into my midget right now. I haven't taken it apart as far as you have, but I've just got enough cut away to fit the engine.
My problem right now is that the engine has to sit higher than I'd like fo alternator clearance, and I may have to go with a top mounted turbo manifold so that the turbo doesnt interfere with the steering.
I'm curious to see how you'll make out with the alt/turbo.

Oh, an also, in the "modified midgets" section, that other MG with the sr20de, do you know what differential he is using?
I am wondering what to do for a diff.

Hey Brownie,
I don't know you and you don't know me. But a couple of months ago I bought a MG midget for $75.00 and I got what I paid for, I was looking on google for restoration tips and some how I got on your MG page. I looked at about all of your pictures and saw that you have a little bit of experience with these tiny cars, I was wondering if I could ask you for some tips every now and then....my car whooped my ass all day long, today and yesterday. I also noticed your 80's model ramcharger and I have alot of experince with full size dodge trucks. So maybe we could trade info? I also have so many parts for those trucks I don't know what to do with and thats coming from an Illinois grease monkey. Please E-mail me at scratch_your_elements720@hotmail.com or use that E-mail adress to look me up on myspace. Myspace would probably work better, but it's your choice. So I'll either talk to you later or not.
Thanks,
Cody.

Hello Brownie,
The MG is awesome! I have followed your build up of it. How is the project coming? I restored a 78 Midget last year. Bone stock. Want to upgrade to 5 speed and 3.4 V-6 Chevy. Curious about your front suspension. Could not reach the company. Is there a part # for the custom frame for the IFS vette setup? Awesome site you have!
God bless,
Doug

Sorry for not getting back to everyone. Life has intruded as is always does. Also I need to work out a better comment system that notifys me when I get comments.
Happy to help with info wherever I can. I will try to get in touch with everybody.
Progressive Automotive has been around for a while. They re pretty easy to get ahold of, but are in Ohio timezone-wise. You want to talk to Bob there for more info.
If I had it to do again, I would have used a Mustang II style setup to get more width between the uprights.
